Burdock root has been part of traditional medicine, particularly Traditional Chinese Medicine, for centuries. Health benefits and therapeutic actions include; treating diabetes, treating and preventing infection, ‘purifying’ the blood, as a diuretic, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. Prebiotic properties.
Because burdock roots active ingregients have been found to "detoxify" blood in terms of TCM and promote blood circulation to the skin surface, this helps to improve the skin quality/texture and can cure skin diseases like eczema. Antioxidants and antidiabetic compounds have also been found in the root.
